本日も暑い日となりました。
午後から中２生向けの授業、そして夜は中３生向けの授業を各２時間
行いました。これまでの学習の復習を中心に行っています。
各自がそれぞれのスピードで一歩一歩前進しています。数学、英語の両
科目はすぐに成果が出にくいですが、焦ることなく歩んでいきましょう。
さて、以下は昨日、東ヨーロッパのある国の知り合いに送った英文メ
ールです。その知り合いとは時々メールの交換をしています。また誕生
日には贈り物を贈っています。交流を通じて、いろいろなことを学んで
います。英語を勉強してきて本当によかったと思います。

The 8.8-magnitude earthquake in Russia surprised many Japanese yesterday morning. A large number of people evacuated from the coastal areas that face the Pacific Ocean. The highest tsunami was about 1.3 m in Japan. Fortunately, we didn't have severe damage.
Actually, over the past three decades, we've experienced disastrous earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
